IntimaCie

IntimaCie stands for INTernal Member Actvity Committee.

These include fun and cozy events such as ice skating, movie nights, potlucks and game nights. Their goal is to strengthen connections within the association and make sure members have a great time together off the dance floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Encourage member participation

ExtDaCie

ExtDaCie stands for EXTernal Dance Activity Committee.

They organise dance-related activities outside of regular classes. These include fun and inspiring events such as cyphers, dance workshops, and trips to major dance events like NSDW (Nederlandse Studenten Dansweek) and the World Breaking Classics. Their goal is to bring members together, explore different dance scenes, and build a strong dance community.

PerformCie

The PerformCie Committee is responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of Break Even’s performances. They decide on the theme for the Break Even Show and create detailed rehearsal schedules. Additionally, they select costumes for both the Apollo Dance Show and the Break Even Show, communicate closely with teachers, and coordinate the involvement of stage managers and technicians to support the smooth execution of each performance.

PR

The PR Committee shapes and maintains
Break Even’s visual identity and public presence.

Think sick graphics for flyers and posters, editing creative video shoots and designing promotional materials like stickers and merch.

They also manage BE’s Instagram, Youtube and TikTok.

IntrucCie

The Instruction Committee is a group of experienced dancers within our association who excel in various styles. They support members in improving their skills by helping them learn choreos outside of class, guiding warm-ups, and offering assistance during open practice sessions on Fridays. Their goal is to share their knowledge and help all members grow as dancers.

WebCie

The WebCie Committee is responsible for creating and updating Break Even’s website, including writing some of the very text you’re reading right now. We ensure the website stays functional and up-to-date with pictures and info.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Website
  • Play minecraft
  • Eat snacks
  • Tell mom you built the website

Kick in

The Kick-In Committee is responsible for coordinating Break Even’s participation during the university’s Kick-In introduction period. Their tasks include organizing performances to showcase the association, hosting workshops for new students, setting up promotional stands, and ensuring Break Even is well-represented throughout the event. The committee plays a key role in introducing the association to potential new members.

KasCo

The Treasury Auditing committee (KasCo) is tasked with checking the Treasurer’s bookkeeping before the financial documents are sent. This committee is composed of individuals with prior experience who are well-qualified to provide financial advice in this capacity. Membership in the committee is not by invitation only; individuals may express interest in joining. Upon such a request, the existing committee members, in consultation with the board, will assess whether the applicant possesses the necessary experience to fulfill an advisory role. Any prior experience as a treasurer is considered sufficient qualification.

SPC

The Spend Profit Committee is a committee whose task is to prevent profit by spending surplus on assets that the association can use for a long time.

Responsibilities:

  • Find out what the association needs
  • Buy it

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is a committee whose task is to provide advice in cases of emergencies or confusion when problems arise within the association. Its members act as mentors to the current board, offering both practical guidance and mental support throughout the year. Advisory Board members are selected solely by the candidate board every year and are trusted to help navigate challenges with experience and care.
