Membership
We are excited for you to join!
The university does not have a very streamlined process to become a member for their associations, so we laid it out in steps
Step 1: Open Lessons
Join one of our open lessons!
Step 2: Subscription Form
Fill in the subscription form. Read all pages and make sure you fill everything in.
Then email it to board@breakeven.utwente.nl
If your device does not support signing a PDF we recommend filling in the form with: Sedja
On iPhone saving the pdf through the share button enables editing.
Step 3: Wait for an Email
We need to make sure there is a spot available for a new member.
Wait for an email confirming your signup.
Step 4: Unioncard
Buy a Union/Campus-card.
You need this card to become a member of any culture or sport association.
On the Sport-center website, click “Shop” or “Aanbod” and pay for a year or half-year Union Card.
Step 5: Register for BE
Register for Break-Even on the Sporcenter website. Log in and go to “My Organisations”, then scroll to “Join/Register at” and select Break-Even. If you have any questions, please contact the board!
* Steps 4 and 5 are different for you if you do not study at the University of Twente!
You will need to physically go to the Sportscentre on the University of Twente campus. Go to the reception and ask for a Campuscard AND a subscription to break-even. To make sure the process goes smoothly, email the board to keep them up to date.
Payment
- Union Card Union Card is a card you buy to get access to campus facilities like the pools, UTrack, the fields and various sport and culture rooms. You buy this once a year no matter how many associations you join.
- Association Fee The association fee you pay once for every association you join and also goes to the Student Union. It helps pay for teachers and location. Only once you’ve been accepted by the board will you see the Break-Even fee on the Sports & Culture website. This can be paid per year or half-year.
- Contribution Fee Contribution Fee goes directly to the association, this is automated by giving permission in the sign-up form. You will of course get a notice first. This money is used by the treasurer to create a budget and organize social events, workshops and shows.
* If you are not a student at the University of Twente, you will be asked at the Sportscentre to pay everything apart from the contribution fee in one go. Union cards are only for University of Twente students, so you will need to pay for the Campus Card.
